WELCOME TO FRUITA!
Fruita Colorado is one of the best kept not-so-secret-anymore ride destinations in the Western US. Sample stunning desert topography with slick rock, junipers, & cliffside views of the muddy Colorado River.
Fruita is nestled in the farthest reaches of the western slope of Colorado and sits quaintly at the base of the Grand Mesa - the world's largest flat top mountain range. Flanked by eroding sandstone mesas on one side, thriving fruit orchards on another, and, after years of the city rebranding themselves as a mountain bike destination, hundreds of miles of singletrack.
Enjoy the ancient rock pillars of the Colorado National Monument, the ribbony buff of classic rides at 18-Road trails, the stunningly beautiful and technical challenges of Horsethief Bench, Lunch Loops, and Kokopelli trails. Top it all off with a visit to the Hot Tomato Cafe - possibly the most iconic post-ride hangout in the US...and the pizza's pretty freckin' to boot.

Guests arrive to a huge lunch spread to enjoy while everyone gets bikes dialed. At midday we'll kickoff a weekend of riding at Fruita's iconic 18 Road trail system featuring a great mixture of tech and flow to get you familiarized with riding in the Grand Valley. We'll ride hot laps until our legs are toast and we're ready for some well-deserved R&R. After riding, get ready for a tour of historic Moon Farm followed by a stunning dinner curated by Whole Foods ambassador Lentine Alexis.
Ride: 8-15 miles, 500-1,600 feet climbing.
After a filling and delicious breakfast, we'll load into shuttles and head over to Grand Junction to ride some of the region's most iconic trails at Lunch Loops. Be ready for stunning vistas, techy singletrack, and quick fun descents. Lunch will be served trailside, after which guests can opt for more riding or head back to Fruita for an extended visit (aka beer o'clock) at The Hot Tomato. Our professional mechanics will lead an optional evening tech & gear clinic with dinner and campfire kumbaya to follow.
Ride: 10-18 miles, 900-2200 ft climbing.
Our final day of riding will be riders choice with plenty of spicy (and chill!) trail options. After breakfast we'll head out for a fun-filled day of riding at Kokopeli with gorgeous views of the Colorado River and some of our favorite routes in the country. Lunch will be served trailside, with plenty of leaders around to hit the trails afterward for round 2 should you feel the need to ride until your legs fall off. This is our final day together, so we'll pack up, hug it out, & send you home most likely grinning ear to ear.
Ride: 8-15 miles, 900-1,800 feet climbing.

What if the weather is crummy?
We've had a blast riding through rain, wind, and even an unexpected snow storm (or two). We are always mindful of being good trail stewards, and will have a plan for weather if the some trails are unrideable.

SKILL LEVEL & RIDES
How is it decided which group/trails I ride during the weekend?
This is the top concern we hear...and we are experts at ensuring you WILL get to ride with a group at a pace and on trails that are fun for you! We don't want anyone killing themselves trying to keep up, or bored to tears waiting for someone to catchup.
How do lift access and shuttles work?
All retreats have some form of shuttles or lift access rides - these are awlays included in the price of registration.
I'm worried about my skill/fitness level. What say you?
Congratulations. You are officially in the club with almost every person who has ever signed up for our events. It is totally normal to be a little worried about your fitness or skill level - but please don't be! It breaks our friggin' hearts when we hear, "I was going to sign up, but I was worried I wouldn't be good enough." Don't be that person that breaks our hearts!
I'm an advanced/expert/pro rider, should I bother with a retreat?
Are you friggin kidding me? HELL YES you should come.
COED VS WOMEN'S ONLY
Are WTF invited to womxn's-only retreats?
What is the difference between a coed vs women's-only retreat?
Coed retreats have men in attendance. That's about it.
Why are retreat prices different?
Each retreat destination has a unqiue itinerary that is reflected in the registration price.
Do you offer discounts?
We don't. Our retreats include lodging, professionally catered meals, high quality snacks, drinks, knowledgable ride leaders, shuttles, lift tickets*, three days of customized rides, demo bikes and gear, bike maintenence workshops with pro mechanics, and more fun than you can shake a stick at.
What about tips?
